Upcoming Classes, Support Groups, & Events
These are FREE TO ATTEND and offered as a way to help connect people who are struggling with their mental health to others who are experiencing or who have experienced similar struggles. All of our classes, support groups, and events are for the betterment of EVERYONE'S overall mental health, not just for those impacted by suicide, as we strongly believe in the importance of staying in, or getting back to, good mental health.
Coffee & Care Women's Support Group - First Friday of the month (October-June) from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Sage's Army on Fourth Street in downtown Irwin. Life is full of challenges. We are all recovering from something such as grief, rejection, anxiety, substance use, and more. We aren’t meant to face it alone. Coffee & Care is for adult women of all ages. The goal is to connect, learn from one another, and leave with a practical application to help cope with life’s challenges. Light refreshments will be served. Questions? Color & Chat Support Group - Thursdays: January 26th, February 23rd, and March 30th from 6:00-7:30ish p.m. at Sage’s Army on Fourth Street, Irwin. Does the cold, gloomy winter weather get you down? Do bright colors and talking with others cheer you up? Do you just need to get out of the house for a bit? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then please join us! Open to ages 16+, men & women. Drinks & snacks provided (thank you to the snack sponsors – Fight the Blight, Norwin Counseling & Wellness, and The Lunch Lady on Wheels). Free to attend, no RSVP needed. Coloring sheets & colored pencils will be provided or bring your own. Questions? Come, Talk Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit, is a free resource center for people affected by suicide. Classes, support groups, and events are free to attend; donations are appreciated to help cover costs.
